It is not killing the vcreativity of student but motivate them to think critical and slove the problem in altetnative ways

Many times, the course only does not help the student to understand. But, examples make the ideas clear for him. They reduce ambiguity. For creativity, don't worry, the student would use it to bring new examples for the exam.

Sure, the more examples you give, the more comprehensible it will become

Personally I don't think so as long as it is just as an example, in many cases it could be used to "get the ball rolling" and might be just the catalyst required to initiate a student's creative thought process. It is important to use examples for guidance and not as a template to replace creativity.
