In sales we always push hard and harder until we break all obstacles and secure our market segment, then we start eliminating competitors until we

gain the biggest market share,we work hard on keeping our share, during which we can be fearless,pushy,unfair,aggressive.etc. is that justified?should you do anything allowed by the law to keep your territory and market share? should you have any thoughts about your competitors and give them a chance to breath before you knock them out?

mmm, I would not do that. Businesses are made to serve customers not competitors, are not they?? If so, the aim should always be to continuously analyze and serve your segment the best you can. Remember, strong competition rolls innovations’ cycle and your competitors will always find their best niche.

On the other hand, you must maintain your ethical standards and never conduct unfair practices. Otherwise, your marketing core competency will turn to core rigidities when your company loses its social image and creditability.
