I agree with the answer Mr.tohamy

A manager/ leader will only delegate a job when he feels the employee has the capabilities to deliver.

However I feel if you want to take out maximum from an employee, after delegating dont try to micro manage instead give them space to complete the goal and use their creativity.

So the managers role after delegating should be to encourgae, answer their queries, give them space to show creativity and overlook to see that they meet the deadline

The key roles of a manager/leader when he/she delegates a task is that he/she would be responsible for whatever the result is. The task may have been delegated but the responsibilty shouldn't. How? The leader should give all the neccessary help to the worker such as - resources and feedbacks.

I do agree with Mr. Zeeshan

Primarily one nees to know that its just a task or a Project which is delegated and not the responsibility. The Manager is obliged to complete the task assigned to him as per the deadline ,whether he delegates it or not.The Manager has the prime responsibilty to answer the feedbacks received from the customers or clients;postive or negative. The Manager should think twice before delegating a task.He could neither delegate the task to a person above him in the organizational heirarchy nor he should assign it to a fresher or trainee under him.Manager should be wise enough to delegate the task acc. to the skillset of the subordinate or his/her proficiency in the desired task.

Then the manager need to give an amount of freedom to the delegate to accomplish his task and help him during difficulties. He should give neccessary assistance to the delegate as well. But keep in mind,a manager should not supervise too much, for this is a clear sign of lack of

confidence the manager bestows on the delegate and it reveals his 'bossy' character.
