What is difference between demand factor , diversity factor and utilization factor in power system distribution ?

Demand factor: ratio of max.demand on the power station to its connected load.It usually less than1. Maximum demand on power station is less than connected load.

 

Diversity factor:ratio of sum of indiviual max.demands to the max.demand on the power station.Diversity factor will be greater than1.

 

Utliziation factor:is the ratio of max.demand load which could be drawn to the rated capacity of the system.

Diversity factor is the ratio of the sum of the individual maximum demands of the various subdivisions of a system (or part of a system) to the maximum demand of the whole system (or part of the system) under consideration. Diversity is usually more than one.

Demand factor is the ratio of the sum of the maximum demand of a system (or part of a system) to the total connected load on the system (or part of the system) under consideration. Demand factor is always less than one.
