To further add to the thread posted above, I'll like to clarify in detail with what I meant by 'advance qualifications'. Basically, my question focuses on inquiring about the two aspects of education, namely the type/field of a business degree, along with the prestige of the institution from where an individual pursues his degree. Moreover, talking in detail about the latter, there are varying perceptions amongst employers as to whether 'FOREIGN GRADUATES' - i.e. Graduates from UK, US & Canadian Univerisities - tend to experience more success in terms of better employment privileges (Salary and other fringe benefits) or do specific Institutions abroad make a difference, not all of them. In my perception and from my experience, I tend to believe that foreign graduates benefit more than locals, especiall in the GCC region (Specifically UAE, Qatar & KSA).

Dear Khurram, that's the way of the world. It's harsh, but true that if you and a British / UK citizen have similar qualifications, skills and talent, he may still get the upper hand. But I still feel that in the long run, performance will matter. Even in India, I often get amazed by the way our employers and business owners fawn over a westerner coming to India (for all you know, that westerner may just be a low level employee in his country, all steps are taken to see he is comfortable, he is served the kind of things he likes etc), but when the same MD visits abroad, he has to walk to the coffee machine and make his own coffee. No one cares whether he's even had his food. That's the way of the world.

I'd recommend we must only worry about what we CAN change, not what we cannot.

It is like the presence of a doctor with healthy person who wants to maintain his good healthy condition. Like a doctor a manager with advanced qualifications will read KPIs and reports and do things to tweak operations and direct the business to guarantee a smooth and stable cruising and climbing to higher altitude. That tweaking does require good education flavored with experience.

Advanced qualifications are always important for business.

Lots of the definotion/clarification depends on what you and I mean by "advanced qualifications"  !!

If you are talking about high academic degrees (MBA, PhD, ...  ) , then I would say possible but not necessarily.

So, go back and define what you mean by the term "advanced qualifications"  To me, the term "qualification"" means  "anything" that qualifies a person, a company, an opportunity, ... etc

This could be really anything that leads to being considered for a job, a business deal, a tender, a competition, a contest, ... etc

Advanced qualifications are qualifications in some persons, companies, organizations, .. etc that usually do not exist in others .   So,  having an MBA among a crowd of contesters who only have a Bacelors degree could be considered "advanced qualification" but not if the majority of them have MBA degrees too.

A good looking/nice talking/cheerful personality at the reception desk (front-line) may be considered "advanced qualifications" more than having an MBA degree holder in that position .

So back to your question, the answer is "YES" but you need to define and agree on what "advanced qualifications' means !
