When you hear that someone isn't willing to sacrifice to achieve something, you think of it as a negative, or a fault towards that person, but that's simply not the case. Sure, some people are willing to put their professional lives at the top of their priority list and make all sorts of other sacrifices in order to achieve those goals. Some are even willing to sacrifice their ethical values in order to make it to the next level.

Personally, my professional goals are “A” priority, but I intend on them never becoming my “top” priority. I would not want to work in a job that requires more of my private life time.

Never Ever if a job took my private life then i will say gudbye to that job. Working hour is enough to do something if you can't do anything in working hours then you can not do anything in your Private life.

Workful time enhance the activity to enjoy the life time.

Balanced life is much better to prove your personality in work and in your family, too.

In an ideal world and balanced lifestyle between family and career is what we most strive towards.

In my current role the choice is mostly removed. Yes my family do suffer from my abstraction at times from the family home.

But how far do you put yourself out to "go the extra mile" for me it is protecting people from harm and ensuring they are dealt with in a professional and consistent manner, ensuring that their experience reporting what ever crime or incident is as positive as possible. For other industries it may be going that little bit further is the difference between keeping or loosing a customer or clinching the killer deal. Under promise and Over deliver is a rule I very much work by and end of the day which ever profession we come from we should remember we are all each others customer. How far would you go to keep me as a customer?? Ask your self the same question you would be surprised

As a HR professional, I always differentiate my private life and office life as well as I balance it. However, I could not join in any position which needs my private life unneccessarily.
