In my view the toughest part in Oracle Financials is to manage Fixed Assets, because there is no option to delete an assset after put it on service , meaning; if we add an asset and2or3 months it reallized that the it is not asset , we need to delete it but we can not , we have writeoff and make it value zero.

Oracle is one of the most beautiful ERP in the world and in my last seven years of experience in almost all financial modules of Oracle, I find no tough part, of course you must be backed by a solid IT team but above that it is the tools around like SQL/Toad that works the best.
If you are finding any issues in using Oracle, I suggest you visit this site and utilise it.
http://www.oracleappshub.com/ I have found it very useful whenever I hit a road block.
Being associated with Oracle and its implementation in several businesses of our company has made me love this application.
I am in the manufacturing sector handling multiple modules like AP/Inventory/Costing/WIP/Fixed Assets/PO/BOM/Project Accounting/Order Mgt and GL.
The controls in place and the transaction flow is fantastic.
As technical controller this has helped me a lot to trace every transaction to its root.

I think it's the Integration Part between Finance & Other Modules, because you face many complexity if the Business Requirement and Flows is so complicated and Integrated, this Specially in the Business contains24 Operations and it's automated.

Fixed Assets but this is not exist in all companies because it can use general ledger module instead of FAM but it's not useful in all cases.
