Do you agree that we are spending too much time online and that it's the reason we're not having social activities like before?

Yes, Societies are now becoming far more distant from each other these days, and so are individuals in the society in terms of social activities.  This is largely due to the fact that people are finding most of their interests on the internet, such as games, chats tweets, just to mention but a few.  Some people have become so weaved to it such that they even forget to attend some social gathering or find it unnecessary to attend.  Also people who were hitherto idle or could not affort to even travel far to learn or just find something to amuse themselves have found a safe haven in online courses in fields of their choices, as well as other opportunities that they could not have had access to.

I have limited time to write all I want to, but  another fact that I want to state to support this is that: In societies where internet or access to online things are not common, social activities/gatherings are held in high esteem, and are massively attended.

Truly agree, how many times have u gone eating with the family or any loved one and had a peep at your phone. Social life has reduced to a4 inch device, and life is turning into less talk and more clicks. Few are the days when one would take the time out to post a personsal, handwritten letter or take the time to call and chat. Everything in excess can be bad.

I do not think so, social media is more IN now. we keep updating are statuse on hourly basis. we keep liking and disliking things. So in general i guess we are more socially active now as before BUT there is a major issue now, and that is Reliability issue, likes and dislikes can be fake you can not rely on them.100 likes,  does not garantee you  that people really like some thing.  Current Social activities and social websites are like a fake bubble which can be burst any time when you phase the reality.
