This question was asked to "me" as subject, so I'd like to answer as a subject :) If I was given a gift from someone else, I'd think to give a return gift to him/her. When God has given a life as a gift to me , then obedience will be a gift from me to God.

No, I think I would not have obeyed God if there were no rewards or punishments. Rewards and punishments are always there with every activity you do, be it eating, sleeping, mating or defending. Everything will be null and void without rewards and punishments. The whole idea of civilization will fail.

Yes i will still obey God.We should not try and obey God for rewards but because of our unconditional love towards Him. As he is familiar with all our ways. He is a great and powerful God who loves relationships with people. All He seeks from us is to be content, and thankful in the good and bad times and to live a life that brings glory unto Him. For one day when we die we will give account unto him as to what we did for him while living upon the earth.

It would have been very hard to obey GOD. Because  it is punishment that guides the heart of man to focus on the right path. I may be willing to  do  GOD's will but the work of the flesh would have drawn my focus from GOD.

Obeying God cannot be connected with rewards or punishments, its the love and affection you have with god.

Rewards & punishments are due to our work, if you steal a thing, god is not coming to punish you and if you help a needin person God shall not come to reward you.

Its the situation of our soul which feels nearer to god if we do something good and farer if we do something bad.
