These are inseparable. A researcher is expected to communicate the results of a study for the benefit of the society. Given that premise, the researcher is inherently a communicator.

I think a researcher in a communicator; as a researcher; you need to communicate effectively with people, as an advanced method for your researchers.

Hi,

First I like to thank you for providing a great question in the Research section.

Is there any relationship between a communicator and researcher? - Yes of course.

We need to know who “communicator” is and who “researcher” is FIRST, in order to analyze the relationships.

In large companies, communicator is shorthand for all those people in staff positions who bring their talent and skill to bear on communicating for the companies that employ them. They are speechwriters, publicists, editors, designers, producers, Website managers, technicians, photographers, and public-affairs representatives, etc.

Right now, we are in social media era….

So we can say that all the employees in the company are communicators!

All employees communicate with and about the company through Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube and other supporting social media networks.

Key qualities of good communicators are:

  • Ability to listen well.
  • Ability to comprehend written and spoken language.
  • Ability to think clearly.
  • Ability to express ideas clearly in words.
  • Ability to write clearly and competently.
  • Ability to interpret nonverbal cues.
  • Ability to respect the other party and win the other party's confidence.
  • Last but not least: GOOD MEMORY.

Now we will see Who is a researcher?

A researcher is a scholar who can demonstrate specialized knowledge or expertise, conceptual and intellectual capacities such as the ability to identify and frame key problems, to think critically and analytically, and to generate and COMMUNICATE interesting and original insights. [COMMUNICATION IS INVOLVED IN THE ROLE, AM I RIGHT?]

Key qualities of good researchers are:

  • Ability to produce scholarly high-quality written work and research papers
  • Ability to compose paperwork, so that the argument, and the evidence that supports it, can be grasped by the intended audience.
  • Ability to use sources effectively, to gather and organize information, to analyze text, data and theory.
  • Ability to work to high standards, to take initiative and responsibility, to be well organized in one's procedures and balanced in one's judgments, to collaborate well with others where appropriate, and to take on board and incorporate constructive criticism.
  • Ability to liaise with colleagues in an effective and appropriate way, to be able to adjust to different circumstances and to integrate into the larger community of scholars.

If we make a comparison between both communicator and researcher skills, we can able to get an overview picture of the similarities between the two.
