Consultant issued a non conformance for the work which is under progress. My question is, was there any ISO standard with which I can defend?

As per project protocol he supposed not to issue non conformance for work under progress. Kindly share your ideas.

The consultant; by issuing the nonconformance, even in the under progress activities, he did the right job, and you have to define the root cause and the corrective action, otherwise tell me how you can improve your activities and get ISO's certificate . You cannot say I am in under progress, and I did not accept this non conformance. You have to know as maximum as the consultant raises non conformances, this will help you  to improve yourself and finally you  will get the ISO's certificate. And you not need to defend, Just accept the non conformance and go forward.
