How come it's so hard to move to Middle East with an Oil Refinery experience back ground?

Well, I am a Process Engineer with3+ years of experience in the field of Oil Refinery at India. And I came to Dubai seeking a better opportunity in a global scale. But to my surprise, there isn't much opportunity for me in the Refinery field. If there was any, they ask for GCC experience or10+ years of experience. I would be truly grateful to anyone who could direct me in the right direction to obtain a suitable Job profile. Thanks & Regards, Thoufiq Ahmed

With due respect to you and your career specializatio/experience,   the Middle-East is more oriented to the west where American/British/Dutch/French/Italian/Canadian .. even Russian oil companies dominate the stage.

My best guess for you to come to the middle-east is  (1) work for one of the western companies and preferably have a western citizenship as well   ... or ... (2) align yourself with one of the Indian companies operating in the middle-east specially in Sudan and other African countries or in the Gulf region.

Hopefully, this answer will be of help !
