I will list some from a salesperson perspective in a direct-sales sphere:

  1. Using fear as a selling technique (if you don’t buy it or use it, you will risk....)
  2. Having derogatory attitude in sale & belittling a customer’s knowledge or critical thinking, to "intimidate" buyers who’re afraid of being viewed as stupid.
  3. Using fake fragility to gain a customer’s  sympathy (I’m new here and I may be fired if...)
  4. Using too much technical jargon to spin customers’ heads & have them move into buying just to get rid of you!
  5. Sticking to a one-fits-all script with all customers
