Very often a leader’s humility, integrity and flexibility are taken as weaknesses in today’s workplace.

Only genuine professional ethical persons have the capacity and intelligence to understand that humility, integrity and flexibility are among the core values of a genuine leader.

Misconception is that the leaders are boss. Leaders are those who lead from the front and earn respect by setting examples and providing space with humility for better ideas from the team / others and to enable team to win and make opportunities for all to learn.

That leaders are unquestionable. What ever they say is correct.

That leaders are above everybody and should be treated specialy.

That they don't make misstakes and have complete autority.

That becoming a leader is asociated with somekind of certificates to prove you are capable or even a title.

Leaders are naturally born they are not made.

As per my experience, the biggest misconception is that leadership is not taken in "corporate context". Whenever the word leadership is discussed, please usually start thinking about leaders like Jinnah, Ghandi and Nelson Mandela. Leadership in corporate context needs to be understood!

One of the biggest misconceptions I have come across about leadershp is that "You Need a title to lead" while I belive that you only need to know when it is appropriate to do so and how to do it. Leadership is all about making things better and the the best companies and organizations teach everyone to take responsibility for leading one or the other way.  so we must understand that positional leadership is temporary.  A leader must earn the right to be followed and it is called the Leaderhip Capital

I also agree with Irphan Ghani that leaders do not always give orders but more often they inspire others to do what is required of them in a given situation

Leaders can see that they are gods and subordinates are slaves, So workers see that leaders in this case are just a sick people.

Isn't it true that leaders with great power in their hands, like prime-ministers or presidents, tend to believe that their decisions (that affect millions) are very wise, correct and unmistacable? Isn't it true that most of them believe that they are way better than the person next door and of course they deserve to have extra privileges? Or if they do something, they are above the law? I think that many leaders even if they don't admit it, they believe it.

And likewise many people have this image for the leaders and they believe that everything is done right by them. But of course, if a leader isn't humane and humble isn't a leader with the essence of the term.

That it is enough to be called a leader if you have people following you. People can follow you because they are tied to you or because the sun is in their eyes blinding them it doesn't make you a great leader. Sheep follow the shepherd too and there are way too many people acting like sheep these days already. People should follow you because you motivate and inspire them develop them to be the best person that they can be and not just because they have to follow you.
