AN INCIDENT is a situation which have the potential to cause harm to a person or damage equipment or property. Example includes:1.) Leaving the gas cooker turned on unattended to without igniting with the gas filling the kitchen to a point that any slight spark would be fatal.

2.) A vessel pressurized to a point nearing rupture.

AN ACCIDENT is an incident which occurred and resulted to harm to a person or people, damage to property or equipment. Examples includes:1.) Slips, trips and falls causing injury.

2.) Faulty electrical connections resulting to fire
