Engineering is application of natural laws. And there are few people in the world who are genius like Einstein, Newton , thomas edison , Alkhawarzmi , Al beruni, Ibn seena. Its natural god gifted quality to invent and implement. To give a theory and see its developement to become a law.
I believe if you have a passion of engineering or any thing you can excel , advance , create, invent, solve and astonish the world. You dont need a specific degree to be an engineer. Ofcourse you need a teacher it could be anyone anywhere.
I have seen persons who became applied chemistry dangerous freaks but there majors were totally different but it was a passion for him to go indeep to know " how and why"
1+1=2 it happen always , keep learning & applying the skills on field, watch the out come and check whether it could be done much better. Development of Skills is a continous progress. Much you are open to learn much you will enhance your Skills.
Bad decissions/ mistakes provide experiance and experiance provide the skill to overcome problems.
I think to become an inventor, it is not necessary that you should be an engineer. just think about welber brothers. they invented aeroplane even the repaired cycles in their workshop. so if u are a creative person and if u have the oppertunity to do some thing go ahead and develop your ideas into reality.
We develop engineering skills first by education, after your education the real engineering skills step in by experience, working is the real development of engineering skills, but impossible without the basics
Engineering skills are the fruit of applications of engineering theories. Therefore if we want to have Engineering skills we should apply our knowledge. But if we want to "develop" our skills, when you say develop, it means you already have the skills you just want to improve it. Then we need to get out of the box, and innovate or find another way of doing the same job much better. Besides Engineering is just innovating what the creator (God/Allah) have already created.
