If the job requires you to be in the face of danger everytime like being a policeman, fire fighter, a soldier, or an experimental guinea pig, then leaving the job won't really be an option for you since that is your profession. Just ask yourself, is this job your passion and your calling? If it is, then you must've already embraced the fact that you will always be in the face of danger so you better be prepared for it.

If however, for example, you are working in a printing press company where you inhale most of the ink throughout the day, which exposes you to potential lung problems and toxins, and the company doesn't really care about it, then leave your job and go for something else. Safety in the workplace should always be the responsibility of the company, if not, then that company is not worth your health.
