Personnel Profiles/Personal File is a career management tool designed for employees and their supervisors. In addition to the employee having access to their own data, managers and administrative officers have access to the data for all employees within their responsible organization. The data contained in this system is extracted on a weekly basis from the Federal Personnel/Payroll System (FPPS). It contains current personnel and education information and at least10 years of information, awards and training for each employee. This application also enables an employee to optionally add information on awards received outside and any team, committees, special assignments, or projects the employee participated in.

Supervisors can utilize the system of maintaining the personnel file or profile for newly recruited employee to:

a)      Develop individual development plans with employees

b)      Plan assignments and career development opportunities

c)      Prepare for performance discussions

d)      Prepare for award nominations

e)      Determine promotion eligibilities

f)        Gain a better understanding of the work histories their employees

Supervisors should review, on a regular basis (as they deem necessary or useful), the information about their employees.

Personnel Profiles is a web-based application that supervisors can access from their desks through the Personnel Profiles link within the HR Portal. The link for Personnel Profiles is located on the right hand side.
