Amer a Corporate Ladder is climbing up position in corporate outfit or firm and its normally two kinds one ladder game where you climb up rapidly and another one similar to snake and ladders where you climb up and also can go down.

  • ·         Networking with the key people
  • ·         Determination to succeed/single-mindedness whatever it takes

What is a corporate ladder? are you climbing the corporate ladder, what advise do you give fresher's?

Definition of 'Corporate Ladder'

A conceptualized view of a company's employment hierarchy in which career advancement is considered to follow higher rungs on a ladder, with entry-level positions on the bottom rungs and executive level positions at the top. "Climbing the corporate ladder" is a phrase used to describe one's advancement within a company through promotions.

The higher an employee's position on the corporate ladder, the more difficult advancement becomes. An organization typically has many more lower, or entry-level, positions than it does management or executive positions.

I did successfully climb the corporate ladder. Began as a marketing executive  to become the national head- marketing and then was elevated to be the deputy general manager and then went on to head the country operations as country chief. Finally I attained the position of a regional director heading Africa and Middle East .

If one sincerely makes efforts on whatever job responsibilities they have taken and keeps on positively contributing to the growth of the organization, one is able to go up the corporate ladder. As a fresher one is required to equip oneself with good educational qualifications, subject matter expertise , advanced training and finally groom oneslef well so as to stand out in a competitive environment. Distinguish yourself as a real contributor and a dependable colleague and a true team worker to attain higher positions. be honest and have unquestionable integrity. Do not attempt to trod on the heads of others to go up the ladder. Patient and sincere efforts ultimately pay.  try to excell in whatever you set out to do

Corporate ladder are steps in ones career. Some people climb very quickly, leaving their collegues way behind, while some remain stuck at very low levels for a long time and thus lose chance of getting upward in future as well. I believe that it is individuals ambition coupled with ability and effort which makes it possible to climb as high as one desires. You can climb up a few steps by tricks such as being close to boss, making yourself win and others lose, looking smart, or networking etc etc. However, you cannot retain the status unless you really perform and have a visible impact of your own. The only factors which would lead one up on the Corporate Ladder are: Ability, hardwark, honesty, positive approach etc etc.
