The propensity to start one’s own business when working full time in a job is a very dangerous trend. As the employees would not give his100% at the job. Tenured employees when not given promotion for a long  time are of this category.

·         They are the most challenging category for any HR executive.

·         They would either like to start a new business of their own if they have the expertise or go to a rival firm

·         If they are in direct contact with the customers they could take away a chunk of the company’s market.

·         Maximum effort should be made to stop the attrition of such employees.

At some case it depends on organisation style e.g for most of multinational companies you will find the agency cost effect where managers want to maximize their own benefit to get early promotions. It most of these case staff are not developed and will be abused or used for own personal goal in these type of organization you will lose staff ownership to the company in addition, employees will be demotivated most of the time.

To avoid this issue HR must have the upper hand in promoting and hiring new people to high level. otherwise the organization will be in a complete toss
