YES, DIGITAL MARKETING IS FAST REPLACING PRINT AND TV. Here's why:

-Increased Reach for advertisers, especially as mobile is increasing. Most people are even replacing time spent on TV with their tablet PCs, android phones etc - these are all places that pring/ TV are not reaching.

-Increased ROI for advertisers of Digital media, which when compared to results

-Digital is cheaper because you only pay per advert viewed, and usually only interested people view digital adverts = pay per performance (unlike TV and print where you pay a bulk pack). Advertisers can also track reach and performance of their digital ads.

-More young people are spending more time on digital platforms - which gives them most that they get from the print+TV and even more.

I dont think digital will be able to replace print or TV form of advertisment in a long time to come. But it does not mean that digital is still not relevant. It is very much relevant. But these media still has different roles and the customer - interaction with them also are mutually exclusive. Therefore they cant replace each other, at least not in the near future.

For example, Print or TV is still being used to create a brand imagery, while on the digital front, the interaction is more personal and therefore the communication is often utility oriented. and these to approaches of the media are mutually exclusve.

So I think we still have decade in front of us, till print and TV ad gets kicked out of consumer life cycle.

No, digital marketing has only been part successfull in replacing print ads but is still far to go to even compete with televised media. TV ad still gets the major part of the advertising pie and is growing especially in case of middle east.

No. Digital Marketing can never fully replace TV & Print. But it can definitely supplement a TV/ Print campaign.
