Why does none of the advertised jobs disclose the salaries ?

I work in UK and am considering relocating to UAE / Qatar but as none of the advertised jobs specifies the salary range and not knowing the cost of living I am unsure whether to apply or not and when applying what salary to ask for ? Any help with this much appreciated.

Hi Folks,

The reason why the advertiser doesn't disclose the salary because

- The employer wants to attract the best of talent regardless of their budget

- At times it works very better for negotiation with the candidates

- Candidate start expecting the salary bracket they doesn't deserve only because its highlighted so to avoid such conversations

- Employer might end up getting a good candidate for lesser price as they have not disclosed
