What should you be first: a team leader or a team player?

I don't think that there is a sequence as to what comes be first.
But generally, if you're a good team player, your chances are high at being promoted to a team leader role.

It Depends, if i were ateam leader maybe i will make alot of Progress But as ateam Player maybe my team leader wont let me do anything or wont let me explain my Ideas and i will stay as ateam PLayer for my whole life, soo being ateam leader is more better in Career Progress.

I believe or I know that to be a good leader you have to be a good team player.
You need to be a team player who can hold team together, when you are able to do just that you will become a good Team Leader.

team player is first and let your team to think of you once have problem for get new opinion and new solution

You can not be a team leader if you are not a team player . Leadership comes from within the team work spirt 

Team leader who is a very good team player should be the first..

if you have leadership qualities and skills it wouldn't really matter, because leaders operate up and down the ladder of success.

 

 

i don't feel any difference between team player and team leader.
Team Player is a character and Team Leader a position.
A REAL TEAM LEADER WILL ALWAY BE A TEAM PLAYER.

A team player, being a team player i will get inspiration from my leader, his way of motivating people , his likes and dislikes, this experience of working under a good leader will make me enough skill full that if ever i am promoted as a leader i will utilise these skills to make myself a good leader

Leadership qualities are a part of an Individuals character.
not every1 has it some are just follower.
so if a person with these quality works at any level or as a team players...
he will gradually develop as a Leader/team leader.
