Quality verbal and written communication skills allow leaders to present expectations to team members in a way workers can understand.

Organization Effective team leaders possess exceptional organizational skills.
Organizational skills help team leaders plan objectives and strategies, which allow team members to perform optimally.
Organized team leaders put systems in place that maintain order and guide team members toward meeting company goals and objectives.
Confidence An effective team leader is confident in his abilities, as well as confident in the abilities of his team members.
A confident leader is secure in the decisions he makes that affect his team.
A self-confident team leader also reassures team members of his authority within the organization.

A Listener, a coach who uses positive reinforcements, a doer who does n leads the way, a person who cares about his teams welfare n shows it, a mentor who develops the team members n gives them confidence n pushes them towards the edge at times n thereby raises the performance bar, someone who understands the strengths n Areas if Improvements of each member so that when he delegates, he does not ask a fish to climb a tree. A person who his team-members want to follow n work for. A person who does what he says. A person who has ability to visualise long term n is able to show that picture to his team with a map. I can go on n on but if someone does 75% of above, its a blessing to that organisation
