I have heard about creating omni-channel experiences from a sales point of view. Can you explain this and how can I start?

Tamara, you have already some of good answers here. 

My input -

  1. Know the journey your customer take usually take to buy product like yours.
  2. Identify the touck points. (points where customers interact with others to know more information. ex: company webiste, facebook....etc)
  3. Ask yourself " How I can convience my customer on the emotional level about my product?"
  4. Ask yourself " How I can convience my customer on the mental level about my product?"
  5. Now - sit with your marketing peer to decide (based on the above 4 answers) the best mthedology for push messages, interactaction strategy with pull stream.

Last advice, dont rely too much on technology. Be Human and be Light. Remember ..."People love to buy put hate to be sold"

First and foremost identify your customers and your competitors.Know your customers preferences and try also interacting with the customers to know their experience  and suggestions.

Well, nowadays you can see that retail shopping is conducting on phones, social platforms, tablets, and interactive kiosks. Retail is anything but also dead and yes ofcourse people still buy in store, but some dont shop .. instead they check prices, research reviews, comparing the products and consulting social media before buying. So, an omni channel retail is an approach to sales and marketing that provides customers with a fully integrated shopping experience, for example , customers cant browse a product in store , scanning it with their app .. and also they cant browse online store for new styles and explore those outfits on instagram facebook etc ... in lebanon we still dont have that .. for example some apps had alot of samples  such as Disney App and amazon.
