So far I know that every institution has its own rules to deal eith the students cheat to exam, I will defer him to the right authority to handle the matter appropriately.

I hope my suggestion is the correct one since to deal with the cheating matter in the exam is not the concern of the invegilator of the institution. There is a separate body of the institution normally they would deal with the matter.

I believe that it is not fair to have what we don't deserve.

if a student will be cheating I will give him a new paper to redo his exam and stay closer to not let him cheating again, the wasted time will be his enough punishment.

Before becoming angry i will ask him about the reason that persued him to do cheating..If there is a question that is difficult for him and he or she dont have any idea to answer that question then i will make him understand in every language and will give him a hint about the answer. But he is doing this because of no preparation for the paper then i will not let him to do the paper.

I would first look into this issue as a porblem solver NOT a problem maker. Then, I will try my best to discuss the reasons why this issue happened in the first place. Therefore, we would together figure out the solution for that.

Cheating in an examination is the act of going against the set down rules of a particular examination by a student so as to pass that examination. This act has been constantly frowned at by all education authorities, and most times dealing with students who cheat has been a task for some teachers, nevertheless, having taught for a good number of years. The following ways has been of great help.

Deliver your lectures effectively and efficiently: The inability of teachers to deliver their lectures contributes in no small value to students participation in cheating. When a teacher delivers his/her lectures, and makes every available effort to see that the lessons taught is understood, then the risk of having students who will cheat is minimized.

Understand individual students need: We all may be in the same class, but we all does not have the same understanding/receptive ratio. If is the duty of a teacher to carry every student along while delivering his/her lessons. Some students need extra attention, while others need extra assignment, others may need additional information, and when these needs are not met, some might resort to cheating as the way out.

Eliminate the fear of failure: The way some teachers and schools treat the issue of failing an examination creates promotional insecurity in students. They should be made to understand that failing an examination does not mean they can not go far, neither doesw it mean that have wasted anything. If the environment is void of fear, then students can write freely without depending on cheating to pass.

Face to face interaction: One on one discussion workd wonders. A student who is given the time to have a one on one interaction with his teacher about teacher about cheating tends to do not only stop cheating, but also improve in his/her academics.

Gifts/Other Motivations: There is nothing wrong in motivating a student who stops cheating. |This gesture will push others who are either cheating or planning to start cheating to stop. Gifts can be in form of text books, or other items that the school might deem fit.

Talk to the parents or Guidian: If all the above mentioned options fail, talk to the parent/guidian before taking any serious action.

N/B: Suspension of student will always and only be the last option. In a situation inwhich one has tried all the above andnothing works, then it is better to suspend the student from the school, and on his/her resumption, the student to put in writing his/her willingness to turn a new leaf. Should the student returns and continues in the act, then expulsion is the final verdict.
