What are the pros and cons of both options?
Answer is based on the Company Requirements, But I prefer Linux because it is open source and more secure
Linux is better, since windows needs upgrading and costs you more. Also since Linux is an open system, it is easy to update and also take care of all the latest versions without much additional cost.
It really depends on the softwares or the services that the enterprise operates and uses.
- Linux is secure and higher performance.
- Windows is easy to use and operate.
I prefer linux because it is open source, more secure and easy to maintain.
Advantages over Windows
I would prefer Linux as far as risk is concerned with the Microsoft windows OS
LINUX mostly being light itself, opensource & secure.
I do prefer only LinuX, as compared with Microsoft it is easy to maintain open source than MS and is error free
Linux Servers because more stable
Linux, Easy to configuare. Easy to update.
