SAP is a better software it is a complete software that covers all aspects of various businesses. I have been a SAP Materials Management consultant for overyears now and the feedback has been excellent.
Currently, SAP is the best software to use in majority industries, the main advantage of SAP is integration between all the modules and one click will give all the information.
Don't have knowledge on Oracle application. But for me SAP is the best application because it is very easy and it's a friendly user app. You can use it on ordering, invoicing, posting and clearing customer's payments. And you can view all transacted documents (older and new transaction) as long as you have a document number reference.
SAP is applicable on sales, credit, accounting, warehouse management and others.
SAP is a highly recommended application especially on a Big company.

I have a knowledge in Oracle Accounts Module and have knowledge in SAP Sales Module so here i would like to tell about both without going to compare, though Oracle is best application user friendly and here we can able to customized as per our need and here we can payroll,receipt,paymnets,pdc receivables auto adjustment,pop up for the documents expiry, bank reconciliation,import& export invoices and Packing list with any language, inventpry controls, provisions calculation, etc...... and SAP Sales Module also best application we can take whole movement in a singke minutes so both are good application.
Oracle Database better as per global market.
