Engage them in positive activities like give them lil breaks and indulge them in activities like short plays. Utilize their full potential. Don't let them waste time just in leisure talks.

assign the students a specific sitting place. no matter what happens. they may revolt initially, but you need patience. let the student know that teaching is a serious business

follow a structured class every day to put the above idea into the mind of every student

start the class with a video which can grab the attention of students. this should be related to the topic  you are  going to teach

revise your pedagogy (use various styles such as brain storming, flipped class room etc

participate the students in the class. be a facilitator not a teacher

at some point , you will win the heart of few percentage of students(now you can understand what to repair in the class)

some times babies cry, no matter , what you do to stop them crying

they stop crying when they get what they want. then you know why the baby cried. keep trying

My tips and tricks for managing a group of students:

1) Be firm but loving

Class should not be a place of punishment.

Students must feel sympathy, benevolence, a love of the teacher beside the discipline.

Example:

- Discuss with students during breaks

- Congratulate, encourage, thank, laugh in class

2) Be sure of yourself

Show that you know what you want.

The way of speaking, of looking already gives an indication of firmness to the students.

Be mentally persuaded that the requested thing will be executed.

3) Use isolation

The group effect often increases disturbing and disruptive behaviors.

Isolating the student on a bench, or in a specific place helps to stop this behavior.

4) Use short, direct and fast pseudo-sanctions

Example:

- change the place of the chatter

- install a plaque between the two talkative students

These are not annoying penalties, but it shows that you are acting.

5) Words to action

Do what you say; but be careful what you say!

Never say something you will not be able to do and hold like "Again, and you will be fired"

Do not rub the same thing over and over again. Take action quickly.

6) Do not enter into a debate with the student

Do not argue your actions for long minutes.

You punish by giving a little explanation if necessary.

If the student grumbles, stop the discussion by saying, "This is how it is, there is no discussion of my decision. "

7) Learn more than they

The student in admiration of the knowledge and skills of the teacher will have more respect.

Master in depth the subjects you teach.

8) Be demanding

The higher your demands (at the level of work, knowledge, care, presentation and silence), the more you will be respected and listened to.

9) Respect the needs of students

Do not demand impossible things, or very difficult to hold like working tirelessly for 2 hours.

Allow moments of relaxation, chatter, hydration (water) and laughter.

The more the chatter will be controlled and channeled in specific and selected moments, the less chatter you will have during work.

10) Be motivated, even passionate about what you teach.

Listening to someone passionate is more captivating than a demotivated teacher.

11) Very severe the first days

The teacher is tested from the beginning. It is therefore necessary to pass this "test of authority" and directly fix the rules to be respected.

12) Propose motivating tasks

The more captivating and functional your task is, the more naturally the students will work with pleasure.

13) Occupy them

The "chance" of idle chatting of an inactive student who has nothing to do will be greater.

Put them ALL in action quickly, without long speeches.

14) Talk in asides

Take the student aside to listen to him, talk to him and correct his behavior.

The student will not feel "humiliated" in front of the group and he will feel a "privileged" relationship, complicit or even confidential with the teacher.

The best way to control your class is to amaze them but how? Just make fun

Greetings! If you have learners around 7-8 years old, it is better to give them positive reinforcements like praising them if they have done something good and favorable in class. Acknowledge and appreciate whatever little output they can share in class. Reward them with star stickers or even certificates for good behavior and active class participation to help them motivate to do better in class. If it is possible reward them with small things or toys or even pencils if your school allows it. Do some morning routine like singing and dancing or physical exercises to warm them up, play a short video about the previous lesson or the day's topic. Call out the attention of inattentive students to participate in discussions and activities. Avoid shouting too much, and show some empathy and concern. Remind them that you are a teacher and you are in control of the class. Now, if your students are older the best way is to befriend them. Tell funny jokes or even made up stories to stir positive vibes. Be a clown sometimes however they need to take you seriously in delivering the lesson. If you think you have done all of these and still can't have favorable result, it is time to talk directly to their parents and inform your coordinator or supervisor to help you deal with the situation. Our goal is to impart knowledge in the classroom and if we can't manage and handle our class effectively and efficiently we will miss the point of doing something beneficial for our students to learn and apply what they have learned. Inspire them and sometimes a little emotion and caring won't hurt.

Sorry about that but it happens, don't lose your confidence and authority over this. It happens to all kind of students. Firstly, recognize their interest and engage them mostly with that and you can have their attention. Secondly, be friendly rather than exercising your teacher's muscles and then they may like and trust you. Then you will have your way with your authority. Best Wishes!!!

Controling students is not an easy job .. u should first keep confidence and respect link for both teacher and students .. You've to create a special language and trust with them as friends not as students ..Make friendship with them , Then u will gain their love and respect ..

If there is a reason, which is the strength of personality with the students, if they see you weak personality, you will not be able to control their actions. You have to be more serious if they are older and everything will be better

Being a teacher you need to develop soft skills to retain and maintain the attention of students of on the subject without giving any scope for boring for the students.

You can employ some tactics or gimmicks with stories to make the studying more interesting for them. Then it becomes easy to control them.

If you are going to treat your students with bold approach, sometime it may backfire on you that is when you feel yourself lost in the art of teaching.
