What Is Value Based Management?

Value based management is a structured approach to measure the performance of a firm's section managers or products in terms of the total advantage they provide to shareholders. This is usually the utilization of shareholder value added metrics.

Visual based management is making all the key metrics available for everybody to view. Best practice is every department must have a visual board with defined area for each key metric and metric must be displayed on regular frequencies for everybody to view.

A good bench mark for visual management system is - In a30 seconds glance, a visitor must understand what the organization is measuring and how the organization is performing!!

 

These boards should be used for regular communication to employees and make them get organized for continual improvement.

good, but what about the new ISO26000 "Social Responsibility". 

the VBM usually negelect the PR and the organisation committment to the community.

it has advanatges and disadvantages.
