At the rate that new books are becoming available today it is hard to keep up with the constant change in information.  What you read today will be outdated by the end of the week.

One way a person can keep up us though getting audio book summaries from sites like Blinkest, or audio books is a good way to get through books faster.

I personally read more that one book at a time, although I might only use book to extract information that I need.  But there is one book that I focus on to finish at least, which is Managing Though by Mary J. Lore (2008).  Kind of read it like a daily devotion.
