To give my answer to this relevant point, I would hereby paraphrase the famous George Bernard Shaw quote: 'It is dangerous to be sincere unless you are also stupid' by saying: 'It is dangerous to do your best at work all the times unless you are also sad' .... what do you think :) ?

Yesss, sometimes we need to be out of the circle of work and routine

Yes, yes, yes lol. Most of us have been raised in our carreers as if it is a jail, you go in, do your job well, and get out. Day after day.

Once we introduced small things for entertainment, which was not easy, the work changed for many of us.

We did small things, cheap. Like we got a dart board and put it in a Zozo (like a caravan type office.) We were only allowed to go during lunch times. So the 1st day, 2nd day nothing special but then other departments start to come and join as we send out invites. And the most amazing thing happend, we started to form like real friendships in that crapy office with this silly dart game. This small piece of entertainment that was less than $10, brought the people closer. Guys that i never got along with, suddenly became my friends and we started to support each other more in the meetings, and in the field, we would go out of our way if any of us needed assistance. So productivy increased, but most importantly the teams morale increased!

So if you are in position to give some entertainment to your team, do it, let the team enjoy it, you will reap the benefits from it.
