1.
LinkedIn: A big weakness is the fact that certain sectors are very slow to be using LinkedIn as a source for either hiring, recommending candidates and even candidates utilizing networks properly.
To some (if not many) LinkedIn appears to be just another Facebook, this goes for both users and businesses who want to utilize LinkedIn.
One more thing, what's a connection? It used to be that LinkedIn connections meant something, for instance, if two people had a 1st-degree connection, you could be confident one had first-hand knowledge about the other.
Now, though, people seem to be connecting with others whom they barely know, if at all, making the research via networks less useful than it used to be.
2.
Facebook: privacy! With changing privacy mechanisms and unannounced changes that occasionally undo prior protections, it's best to assume that anything and everything you post on Facebook is public.
That's fine for most professional and personal branding activities, but less so for a lot of other types of personal and professional communications.
3.Twitter: The inability to search Tweets that are older than a week and the fact you can't archive your Tweets or export any of your content or Lists.
I understand they are "working on this" but that doesn't ever mean that these features will appear.
This makes Twitter useful only in the present.
4.
Google+: Google+ needs to stop bumping posts to the top of the stream anytime there’s a comment, and this change needs to be implemented as soon as possible.
There needs to be a way to see “top stories” from your stream.
Yes, it’s a Facebook feature, but it’s a really good Facebook feature.
