obviously structural design drawing asks for knowledge of basics of civil engineering and especially of structural engineering and that too of practical nature. unless you have practical know how of structures, you cant draw structures that can be reasonable. so in my opinion, drawing asks for two things primarily. one is AutoCAD and the other is experience.
