The most efficient way can be a GPS tracking by using a simple app. If GPS is not available then location from WiFi.
p.s: We can calculate the approximate distance from wifi router by its signal strength. We can switch between location sources as well from time to time to make sure that we have the correct location. we can add other features as well.
