Educational qualification gains you technical aspects of what your working on. But Experience is the most important one and to gain this experience you need to have some set of skills. These skills can include attention to details, multi-tasking, fast learning, Maintaining SOP's and time constraints. You build your career on these skills, then your aviation experience is of high value. Also being high qualified academically has its own perks.
