As a photographer, how do you market your work through blogging?

At the outset, would like to thank Ms Diana Barghouti for extending the invite to share my views on how to market work through blogging from the perspective of a photographer. 

1. A photographer is always judged, at first instance, from the equipment's a photographer carries. A good quality camera and lens is something which must be highlighted while writing a blog. 

2. A quality of a photograph can only be judged by someone who understands the or feels the hidden message of emotion within the pic. Hence, while writing a blog to market your work, one must be clear with the target audience or the age group etc.. who would be accessing or sharing their views once the marketing activity kicks off.

3. Lastly, marketing is something which requires investment apart from the good work and language while promoting stuff using blogging. A list of paid platforms must be prepared and approached based on the budget and once published the same could be referred while writing or posting stuff on un-paid/free platforms.    

However good the photo is, unless there's marketing and a sale, you won't be generating any revenue. In the case of photography, blogging would be an ideal instance to generate an audience to your blog. Apart from the income from blogs' advertisements, the photographers easiest way of generating the revenue is through marketing a product or a service through the photo that he/she captures. For an example, if the photograph depicts a person with Ray Ban shades, try to market the photo to the visible audience on Ray Ban's social media sites and interaction spaces. Since your target audience would redirect to your blog to view the exact photo, the blog would generate a higher audience and a high audience generates high advertising income. And if your work is exception, Ray Ban wouldn't hesitate to make a lasting relationship with your future Ray Ban related photos 

I would like to create a blog for the respective blogger with good domain name selection by including his services in domain if possible. Create Good title and H! Tag for his services. Include the Social media links to reach and share the content  in form of images so that it can reach the maximum people. There are lot more things that we can implement.

I will select few photograps and mention certain details and perspective and my experiance to collect and showcase them. Would also ask for suggestions and feedbacks of public for the same. I would also send links or follow certain travel promotion agencies and other such agencies where they require a professional photographer.

 By creating a good Portfolio and posting photography advice.

Also, taking care of your instagram.
