  • The key driver for eating is of course hunger but what we choose to eat is not determined solely by physiological or nutritional needs. Some of the other factors that influence food choice include:
  • Biological determinants such as hunger, appetite, and taste
  • Economic determinants such as cost, income, availability
  • Physical determinants such as access, education, skills (e.g. cooking) and time
  • Social determinants such as culture, family, peers and meal patterns
  • Psychological determinants such as mood, stress and guilt
  • Attitudes, beliefs and knowledge about food

I think you ask about bottled drinking water, firstly all water factory have laboratory and the result of all test are monitored and controlled as water source by Water Authority of Jordan (WAJ) and as a product monitored by Ministry of health so all local product are good and under standard condition, i said that because i'm a head of water resource and environment in WAJ and we share with ministry of health to implement quality assurance program

in other hand ther are some little and not affected details which could defferentiate it between two factory, including TDS value which means total dissolved solids but all of them as i said before under standard conditions but lowest number is better but if it was zero as "ultra" it will be bad from my opinion because it considered as distilled water that is used in battery of cars, and will lead to vitamins and salt diffeciency, the second value you must concern with is hardness which means calcium and magnesium percentage which my cause for long time stones in your kidneys the last one it label on the bottle must have equilibrium between anions(-) and cataion (+) ions

Tips for Food Shopping:

She stands in a shop corridor looking at similar producers, trying to decide which one to choose. You want to take the right choice but you are in a hurry.

If you buy ready meals, check to see if there is a nutrition label on the front of the box, then watch how your choices are measured when it comes to energy, fat, saturated fat,

Sugar and salt.

If you use the color coding feeder label, you'll often find a mix of red, yellow, and green. So, when you choose

Among replica products, try going for more green, yellow, and red colors, if you want to take a healthier choice.

Remember, however, that healthier takeaways may have higher fat and energy than their home-made counterparts.

If you make the meal yourself, you can also save money.

Dietary labels can help you choose between products and check the amount of foods you eat, which contain high fat, salt and added sugars.

These labels usually contain energy information in kilograms (kg) or calories (kcal), commonly referred to as calories. Also include information on protein, carbohydrates and fat.Can provide additional information on saturated fats, sugars, sodium and salt. All nutrition information is provided for every 100 grams, sometimes for each serving of the nutrient.

Shops and food manufacturers now highlight energy, fat, saturated fat, sugars and salt level on the face of the pack, along with the reference quantity for each.

You can use food shelf labels to help you choose a more balanced diet.

Buying healthy foods for you and your family may be easier if you can learn the nutritional facts of each product by reading its label.

Package size and calorie content:

Look for the amount of calories on the packaging label and choose the type that contains fewer calories for the same pack size.

Choose calories that come from healthy sources:

Look for the source of calories in each product and always choose the product that gives you calories from the most useful nutrients such as protein, vitamins and minerals.

Beware of the different names of refined sugar:

Refined sugar, such as white sugar, contains high calories, causes a sudden rise in blood sugar and damages skin cells.Look for different names of refined sugars such as fructose, corn syrup, glucose and sucrose, and try to avoid products that contain these types of sugar in high amounts.

Choose foods that contain healthy fats:

Healthy fats are unsaturated fats and must not exceed 20% to 35% in the product.

Select low sodium and high potassium foods:

Foods that contain large amounts of salt raise the proportion of sodium in the blood, which increases the risk of high blood pressure. At the same time potassium acts as an effect on sodium in the body.So always pay attention to the sodium ratio in the product with the search for products containing higher concentrations of potassium.

Be sure to read the labels carefully as you compare different types of the same product to choose the best one for you and your family.
