The HR department implements the policies of the company through its procedures or activities.

They are recruitment- Prospecting for the employees which could be through the local newspaper or online ads. Then interviewing them and checking that their educational documents are genuine.

Training- Training the new hires to make them fit for their job role. In the ITES customer service industry it is through mock call where the trainee faces irate customer and his/her product knowledge patience and customer service skills are tested.

Promotion and transfer- As needed by the company requirements & check the attrition of tenured employees. This is needed as it is very expensive to train a replacement.

On day to day basis – The HR dept looks at leave and salary grievances of employees and intervenes when there is a conflict between employees.
