i dont know about psyciatry, in the light of my ten years experience in financial institutions/ banking sector i have learnt that, stress is created when we start taking interest in souroudning and stop concentrate on our work. and if somebody deliberatly intervene in your job you have a right not to answer him. if the person talk behind your back ignore him. because for every bad action Allah will punish the human. As far as conflict is arise, it depend upon your grade, when i was at junior level, i have to follow the instruction irespective of my agreement. as soon as your grade will increasde people start lestining to you. and conflict will automatically decrease.

The stress in work place has many reasons, some of them are related to the employee and his personality and others are due to the work-place dynamics.

In short, we can improve stress management in work place by a number of means on three levels; prevention , detection, and recovery.

prevention can be done by increasing the staff awarness about stress. This can be done by training on stress identification and management, continous psychoeducation, networking and maintainng referral roster, and performing regualr welfar activities. You can utilize publications, regular psychologic needs assessments and continous short psychoeduacation presentations.

you may think of establishing a peer support system where the staff may elect some of their colleagues to be the peer support volunteers and get them adequate training in reflective listening, empathic interaction and conflict mediation.

This strategy is good for most staff, and almost about 75% of the staff will need more than that.

early detection can benifit upto 20% of the staff who has minot effects of cumulative stress.

these may need brief counselling, support groups, sitting with a peer helper, learning to solve their problems. They may need mediation to solve interpersonla conflicts.

about 5% of the staff may get some disturbance which needs level3 intervention. these people have deveoloped some psychological symptoms. here they should be able to obtain private and confidential psychological servise like individaula counselling, referral for therapy sessions or for psychiatric evaluation and management.
