I think you should not be excellent at math;but you should know main basics

actually an accountant must have basic mathematics knowledge since accounts is mostly related with calculations.

You don't have to be good in math like engineers but not also basic math like the four fundamentals mathermatical operation..Maybe in the middle or intermediate?? Accounting is more like analytical. Accounting in every country follows a certain standards. IFRS, IAS, PFRS whatever it is, and Financial Statement should adhere on that standards. So advance mathematics are not actually needed.

Yes exactly you should know the business math and statistical knowledge with analytical skills.
