If a group of employees,especially, the tenure and expert ones plan for mass resignation, what would be the company's move?

Is mass resignation a sign of inefficient company or the other way around?

Give them a proper handling & attention by giving assurance & solutions to their concern regarding work relations & problems.

Everything will be settled and be heard once everybody will sit down and discuss about the concerns of each of the employees. The most important thing here is to establish communication and chanelling a healthy communication will result to a healthy relationship as well. Once the problems are identified they are easy to be given solutions that are beneficial for the company and the employees. Any untoward problems will also be prevented. In this way, biases and injustices in the workplace if there are will be treated properly.

It is best for the interest of the company to sit down and talk to these employees. There might be some issues and concerns that these employees are left unaddressed, and the management should do something to it in a manner of bargaining agreement where both employees and the company can meet in the middle.

In most cases, what causes to the mass resignations of the employees are the big changes that the company makes especially if it involves their salary. However, the company must also question and ask the management or the direct reports of these employees how the changes was relayed and explained to them. In some odd reasons, employees who do mass resignations where miss informed or confused with the moves and reasons of the company. If thing can be explained clearly with a bit of motivation, mass resignation can be avoided.

In as much as a mass resignation is not feasible in a well-managed company; companies have at times been faced with the situation of having to replace a valuable staff member.

Ensuring there are succession plans, training people to be versatile or proficient in more than one specialty, developing/coaching subordinates to sit-in for supervisors/mentors temporarily are veritable opportunities to replace key personnel who leave suddenly.

Having a data bank of plausible candidates and an aggressive recruitment process could assist.

Experienced employees are one of the most important assets for any business, accordingly company should react rapidly to find root cause of this mass resignation and sort it out, having a mass resignation plan indicates a huge failure in people management leaving their issues unresolved and spreading across rest of population reaching that extent, on the other hand company needs to understand lesson learned of this situation to act proactively in future, raising people awareness and setting up some sort of forum to tackle issues in a timely manner and better employees engagement. Company still need to identify employees who moved the rest towards mass resignation as they are considered a threat to the business

The best thing to do is to let all the new employees be train in all areas and fields so that if there is a mass resignation, the company will not face difficulties.

The management should have discussion with each employee (individually & in group) and try to find out the root cause of the problem. Then steps should be taken accordingly to resolve the concerns and eventually the employees may hold back.
