It is important as sports keep them fit and increases their stamina. A fit body is focused on work. Activities like sports keeps a person healthy.

Absolutely yes. because they will be fit and fresh and that will not only help living a good healthy life but also their appearance will be more than to remain absent due to sickness. Insurance premium has to be paid annually so its not a reason.

The answer is absolute YES. In my hometown, there is a saying " If you have better canvas: you can draw anything from anywhere" this may be conveyed by the people in rest of the world in their own languages. But the fact here is the health and fitness of our people are so important when it comes to the quality and performance of the work and responsibilities handled by them. 

I believe in proper sports and fitness activities if that add value to his/her life and culture.

Great question sir!  I am into sports. Though I am not the manager, I encourage my co-workers to do so. One time, we were having a huddle and they asked me to demonstrate basic exercises. I did it with fun. But  the main problem is continuity. Sports minded person  really differs from someone who is not.
