Would you like to rate your Supervisor in a 360 degree survey?

Your existence in the company depends upon the whims of your manager who does not knows his KRA himself but depends upon few more capable subordinates

 

What do you do?

Your supervisor depends on a few people who have more experiance in the project. He goes out to lunch with them and pays the bill. Also pays the bill for the booze parties on weekends.He has no time even to greet other team members. Now if you have an oppertunity to judge your sup online IN THREE SIXTY DEGREE FEEDBACK  and voice your grievance as you have been assured by the company survey tool that your name would be ANONYMOUS, WOULD YOU BE HONEST. And what happens if some how your sup comes to know that you had given the honest feedback and takes revenge. Would it be prudent to just ignore the survey and have peace of mind and accept the abuses. Or is it a missed oppertunity to voice your grievance.

Thank you for the invitation & sorry for delay in answer. Yes,it is mandatory to everybody to have fair assessment as it will have its own impact on top management. Supervisor have greater role as he is the one trouble shooter & supporting the team to reach his target.

Yes, I surely would likely rate my Supervisor in a 360 degree survey basing on following parameters

  1. Valuing Behaviors

  2. Communication Behaviors

  3. Valuing Diversity Behaviors

  4. Leadership Behaviors

I will list & briefly describe examples on the Pros & Cons of the behavior, activities, feedback or coaching about the manager with respect to the job and work environment

The crux of a 360 degree Performance Evaluation is a holistic assessment of the employee's contributions to the company while ensuring full confidentiality in the process. If it isn't being followed as intended, you might as well want to skip the remains of it too!
