As a production manager, you'll be involved with the planning, coordination and control of manufacturing processes. You'll make sure goods and services are produced efficiently and that the correct amount is produced at the right cost and level of quality.

The scope of the job depends on the nature of the production system. Many companies are involved in several types of production, adding to the complexity of the role. It's likely that you will be responsible for both human and material resources.

To Manage the production in work environment and also give the required data related the production quality,measuring details etc,To the workers as well as machinary.

To ensure that all supervisors are aware about daily production target according monthly production plan, to check if required material and consumables are available in workshops, to check if machinery and tools required for production is available. During the day is necessary chceking of production progress. Daily dealing with procurement departmentl and maitenance department is essential. Production evaluation with workshop supervisors at the end of working day is must and action to be taken for next day if for some reason daily production output was not completed and daily plan was not fulfiled.

I would like to share my point view. If we need to talk about the daily tasks, I would say the production manager should be aware of some important tasks but are not limited. I would go to list them below 

First of all, he or she should understand the general plan that the company has put to achieve the goals. then he or she should follow 

1/ reviews the data reports of the previous day, might there was pending work need to be completed 

2/ update the project plan for the work, might there is some needs to increase or decrease in the production 

3/ monitoring and controlling the work process 

4/ solves the production issues 

5/ understanding the financial factors that impact the production like increase or decrease the laborers, training the laborers, adding automation system if needed.

6/ sends the daily report 

Production manager is accountable for the quality and quantity of goods which is getting manufactured, he has a great role to play, to manage and segregate each and everybody task by not hampering the companies profit and name.

1) P = Planning 

2)O = Organizing 

3) D = Directing 

4) CO = Controlling 

The production depends on the 4Ms i.e machinery,manpower,materials & money ,the  production manager must be care of them also involed planning & manufacturing process also he coordinates betwen production teams,also he must care about the daily and monthly production targets.
