Should Middle East companies establish research departments whose sole purpose is to publish good research in reputable academic journals?

Any company might not be able to function well if there is no research departments in it. The motive of the research departments should be the sole purpose to conduct research about the company, to assess its progress, to assess the progress of its rivals, to evaluate the past performance of the company, to identify th weaknesses and challenges of the company or its product, and thereby finding out new ways to improve the faults and make optimum use of the resources available. Not only this, if the company has research departments, it can regularly fid ways to the alternatives which can be used by the company and this way it can help in reducing the cost incurred by the company, improving technologies and techniques, improving the quality of staff and increasing the turnover of the company.

The research departments can also publish good research in the reputable academic journals as it will give insights to people about what all the company is doing. If the research undertaken is regarding the behavior of people, or regarding environment, or introduction of some new technology then it will help people to increase their awareness and change their behavior patterns.
