Policy is the aim of the company where it wanted it to be and to attain that therefore it requires corresponding objectives. Objectives are list of strategies which aim to fulfill the policy.

Policy and Objective are not a continuous document. The policy if there is an error can be revised without revising the objective and vice versa therefore they can have different revision number.

Whether be it in Quality Control Department or OH&S Department, Policies are the roads leading to a certain goal whereas objectives are the targets or say goals. Now as far as its revisions are concerned, then yes they can have different revisions whenever they are revised but we must note that policy or objectives aren't frequently revised.
