Thanks for invitation,

No, because, "Delegation", in general is to grant of limited authority ( not power), by the manager (the delegator) to another party (one of his subordinate), for a special agreed purpose, within a limited time and with a very close following up from the delegator side.

Thank you for inviting me and I am in agreement with our experts....................

I have a different view on delegation.

Delegation is a sign of faith, trust.

It is sign of believe on the abilities of subordinates.

Of course delegation help other to be more able, self-confidant and reliable.

It helps in independent working and improving decision making power.

But it is mutually beneficial for both sides.

It also improves manager performance, ability of judging people, improving team performance and own leadership skills.

So I believe that delegation is trust rather than parting with power.

Thanks for invite -

Agree with all answers who are given before      !!!

It can bee seen as trusting someone and giving more responsibilities and acknowledgment of his/her good work. It not only that you transfer your powers to others but also you transfer the responsibility of that thing too.

Delegation of power means different things in different contexts. Some may and some may not favor delegation of power.  But one thing for sure " delegation does not mean abdication " .

Delegation might motivate people, might save time & money. But improperly delegated power could have a negative impact like causing confusion , frustration on the parties involved.

For sure no . Usually mangers delegate some of work mainly to reduce factors if pressures and stress, which will help him/her to have more time to focus on critical issues. Also, delegation will help to improve and enhance knowledge and prrfotmance of employees, as it is transferring experience. This will increase satisfaction and loyalty of staff, and motivate them to go extra miles in their jobs
