Of course there is a lot of potential in the market and it also depends which market you are targeting. 

For example, most of the third world countries business are on mobiles which are not Apple or Samsung

I think Nokia will rise again, as Nokia has large number of loyal customers and as we can see from result of launch of new Nokia smart phone sold in china last month

So there are so many different companies they design better phone then Apple and Samsung also will there some more in future. But all those companies will there cause customers have different taste and purpose in buying different phone.
