In my humble opinion, written texts are easier to translate By the way I still study translation at an advanced age and never drew profit neither from bayt.com or in my country ,no opportunities dear

To translate a written text will be easier for sure, as simultaneous interpretation consumes more mental abilities and effort.

I am working on these two types and believe me when i tell you that whatever the written text  is difficult the Spoken one will be much more. And if want to try what I mean just try to translate any Scottish or Irish spoken words.

i believe that it is easier to translate a written text because you can always go back , read again and change whatever you assume that needs changing. However on spoken words you have to be alert and ready not only to translate but also to paraphrase when needed.
